Influence of Soil Wetting and Drying Cycles on Soil Detachment

چکیده
Agricultural soils undergo periods of saturation followed by desiccation throughout the course a growing season. It is believed that these wetting and drying influence soil structure may affect rate detachment. Thus, an experiment was conducted to investigate disturbed (soil sieved simulate tillage) subjected various cycles, on bulk density resistance detachment with runoff. Seven treatments consisting cycles ranging from 0 6 were evaluated under laboratory conditions using experimental flume apparatus. A Richards growth model proposed for predicting also evaluated. Results showed increased as number increased. The decreased Moreover, initial (occurring soon runoff began) rates high 1 3 while after third cycle. For example, two three took 6.5 7 min reach maximum cm souring depth, respectively, four or more did not depth during 15 experiment. In addition, S-Shaped good predictor estimating experiencing cycles. Findings this study suggest attention should be given have prediction Information expected useful improving management strategies reducing erosion.

Dynamics of Aggregate Stability under Drying and Wetting Cycles for Yellow Soil in China
Soil aggregate stability is an essential soil property, influencing many soil behaviors. However, the relationships between drying and wetting cycles and aggregate stability dynamics with different initial aggregate size classes have not been clarified. This study was conducted to investigate the effects of drying and wetting cycles on aggregate stability under different breakdown mechanisms, a...
متن کاملthe effect of temperature on the behavior of an expansive soil during drying and wetting cycles
in this research the mechanical behavior of an expansive soil (with different pore fluid) was investigated under the constant and variable temperature through experimental tests. the soil samples with different pore fluid (distilled water, nacl and cacl2 with concentration of 250 gr/lit) were prepared by static compaction method. experimental testes were conducted in two modified odometer under...

8 A controlled-release formulation (CRF) has been developed for metolachlor, which reduced its 9 leaching in a sandy soil and improved weed control in comparison with the commercial formula10 tion. The current study tested the effect of soil wetting and drying cycles (WDCs) on metolachlor 11 fate (desorption, leaching, and weed control) applied as the CRF and as the commercial formula12 tion. متن کاملeffect of pore water quality on the mechanical behavior of an expansive soil during wetting and drying cycles
expansive soils are considered a worldwide problem as they cause extensive damage tocivil engineering structures. an important characteristic of expansive soils is theirsusceptibility to volume change due to the phenomenon of wetting and drying. this paperpresets the effect of pore water quality on the swelling and shrinkage behavior of anexpansive soil during wetting and drying cycles. thirty ...
